About the Artist:

I began designing jewelry because I couldn’t find what I wanted: jewelry, especially necklaces, that is unique, made from natural stones and pearls with precious metals, well crafted, but not outrageously expensive.   In the process, I’ve found my true love: creating simple yet elegant jewelry that I’m proud to call mine.

Living in an historic and vibrant city, Philadelphia, and constantly seeing old and new together, I draw from the art, architecture, and crafts—Colonial to contemporary—around me.  Inspiration also comes from many other sources, including my travels, most recently to Florence, Italy.  Modern craftsmanship can’t always duplicate what’s been successful in the past, and natural and crafted materials can complement each other in delightful ways.  So, with the natural materials that were my original inspiration and the metals I have learned to smith, I often incorporate handmade Venetian glass beads, repurposed findings and vintage beads.

While I’ve taken many classes and workshops, I consider myself to be self-taught and always learning.  I am not only a craftsperson and designer, but I am a wife, a sister, an aunt, a daughter and friend to many amazing people.
